As a Business Development Specialist at Savoy, you’ll assist in driving new business by researching and seeking out prospective broker partners. You’ll have the opportunity to meet with potential clients regularly to promote Savoy’s comprehensive products and services!
Responsibilities
- Drive new business revenue by researching and seeking out prospective broker partners
- Coordinate new broker onboarding with Savoy through our licensing department
- Embrace Savoy’s value-added “Concierge Service Model” – train and coordinate meetings for brokers to differentiate themselves by using our expertise and carrier product knowledge in all markets
- Continuously identify target markets. Track and report producer engagement to management team
- Identify, and become involved with, industry organizations for business development purposes
- Attend carrier trainings and industry related events; Stay current with the latest industry news, product knowledge and other market trends to provide value to prospects and current broker partners
- Handle large group (51+) RFP process for assigned book of business; Analyze current benefit programs, develop comparative cost spreadsheets as needed, assist in making recommendations for plan selections, and attend OE meetings.
- Coordinate with ancillary team for cross sale opportunities. Coordinate with proper departments to expand sales of other Savoy sponsored value add products or services such as HRIS, ERISA, etc.
- Work closely with manager to turn opportunities into clients while simultaneously maintaining persistency goals. Identify at risk clients and escalate to Sales Operations Manager.
- Upon sale or renewal, establish expectations, prepare implementation plan, complete case installation and/or plan change implementation, and communicate proactively with broker and carrier.
- Resolve service issues for assigned book of large group business.
- Other duties and special projects as assigned.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree preferred
- 3 years’ experience in group health insurance preferred
- Pennsylvania and Delaware Insurance Producer License required
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills; Exceptional interpersonal communication skills
- Proficient skills in Microsoft Office Suite
- Ability to multi-task and maintain organization in a fast-paced, changing environment
