Business Intelligence Analyst position.
The Business Intelligence Analyst will join a collaborative and dedicated team within IA Operations. Gifts to the University invest in the development of ethical leaders who lead and influence. This allows us to effect positive change for generations to come. This position translates data requests into accurate and relevant reports, informing leadership on fundraising performance in order to support decision-making around new and continuing fundraising efforts. Solving complex problems is a daily activity!
Responsibilities include:

This position translates data requests into accurate and relevant reports, informing leadership on fundraising performance in order to support decision-making around new and continuing fundraising efforts. Responsibilities include:
- Create robust reporting that is comprehensive and visual for end users.
- Develop reporting standards and timeline projections for all reporting projects.
- Assist with data modeling and metadata development in order to translate business requirements into robust reporting and analytics tools.
- Perform analysis of IA performance measures with the goal of improving performance
- Educate team members and leaders surrounding the data.
- Develop, test and document Business Intelligence reports and applications.
- Develops programming scripts to create and maintain data structures that support reporting and BI applications.
- Perform regular system and process audits to monitor and improve applications’ performance and to ensure data integrity.
- Work closely with Operations Data and Systems Analyst to develop and maintain data standards and performance measures.
- Collaborate with colleagues at all levels to determine requirements for creating reports.
- Interact with business users in various functional areas to gather and interpret requirements to ensure that data is relevant and accurate.
- Identify solutions for collecting data and distributing reports to end users.
- Train end users on metrics and utilization of performance reports.
- Plan for annual updates prior to beginning of new fiscal year.

Minimum Qualifications
- High School Diploma (GED)
- Three (3) years of professional level experience providing business intelligence reporting and analytics.
- Two (2) or more years of experience developing end user reports utilizing a variety of tools.
- Proven skills in creating charts and graphs to inform business operations.
- Daily experience working with SQL or with a data manipulation and/or programming language.
- In-depth knowledge of data warehouse principals and reporting platforms.
- Understanding of analytical techniques to discover and measure key business drivers.
- Highly self-motivated, able to work both independently and in team settings.
- Ability to learn quickly with passion for learning new technologies.
- Ability to identify and troubleshoot information integrity issues.
- Ability to respectfully communicate and build relationships with people from various cultures and backgrounds.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelors Degree
- Experience working with Ellucian Banner, Salesforce, Appworx, Argos or similar tools for managing data and documents, automation and reporting.
- Certifications in appropriate areas a plus.
