The General is seeking a Business Intelligence Analyst to join our company.
What You'll Do
As a Business Intelligence Analyst on the Data Analytics Team you will be expected to:
- Work in tandem with the Data Governance, Data Warehouse and Google Cloud Platform Team as we migrate our on premise data to the cloud.
- Support various other teams across the enterprise such as: Licensing, Finance/Accounting, Product, Compliance, Claims.
- Work to build cubes in GCP using Looker.
- Working in Google Cloud Platform creating tables, pipelines.
- Intermediate to advanced skills maintaining and creating ETL Pipelines
- Creating out of the box solutions
- Willingness to learn new technologies
- Proactively take initiative to deliver solutions
- Analytical, problem solving skills
- Agile scrum methodology preferred (project management skills)
- GitLab (version control) experience
- Creating and maintain API both internal and external
- Able to bridge gap between business stakeholders and various data teams
- Participate in design reviews
- Profile data by running queries against various sources
- Support system maintenance
- Create new and modify existing data prep workflows
- Create new and modify existing data visuals
- Teach internal customers how to use BI product
Preferred skills:
- Intermediate to Advanced SQL required
- Alteryx, Python, Looker, GitLab experience preferred but not required
Who You Are

You are self-motivated, taking on tasks and demonstrating continuous learning regularly. You are able to think critically and solve problems. You have basic knowledge and understanding of business and business processes. You have knowledge of interactive BI visualization and reporting tools. You have knowledge of relational databases and querying.
You bring a Bachelor’s degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, Math or a business related field. You have some previous insurance industry experience or knowledge.

We are looking for someone with Looker and GCP.
This position is a hybrid role that involves working a minimum of 10 days per month in the office. We know flexibility is important to our employees and their families, and we will continue to offer flexibility in this flex office/home role. This approach will guide us in balancing the needs of the business, customers and our employees.
