Position Description

The Nevada Secretary of State’s office is seeking applicants with a passion for business process analysis and has an opening in Carson City, Nevada. The Business Process Analyst III is a key resource for this agency - bridging the gap between system users and IT Professionals. Duties include collaborating with stakeholders, eliciting business requirements, creating process maps and procedures, performing regulatory analyses, and creating software test plans.


This is a full-time position that works Monday – Friday 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. with overtime after 40 hours per week. Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in business, public administration, management information systems, or other disciplines related to the assignment and three years of progressively responsible professional experience in a related program area analyzing and interpreting program laws, regulations, policies and procedures, which included two years of experience applying recognized data processing concepts to business process planning and analyses; OR one year of experience as a Business Process Analyst II in Nevada State service; OR an equivalent combination of education and experience as described above.

  • Experience writing test scripts for system development is required.

  • The exam will consist of an application and resume evaluation. It is essential that applications/resumes include detailed information with time frames regarding education and experience.
