About the Role: The Enterprise is looking for a Forecast To Plan (FTP) Business Analyst in Production Planning to join our SAP Program team and the Procurement Excellence Team.

The FTP Business Process Analyst for Production Planning will be a full-time member of the Solutions workstream which is responsible for implementing the Forecast To Plan functions in the new ERP system which will include both native SAP functionality and integrations to other platform applications. The associate will participate in the design and implementation phase of the new ERP system. The associate will have an IT counterpart and they will share responsibility for designing and implementing the FTP functions while coordinating with other Solution Architects and Process Analysts across the Solutions Team. The associate will also collaborate with and support the Delivery workstream functions, such as Data, Analytics, Testing, and Security. The commitment will be global in scope, including both Enterprise and Divisional requirements. Success will be defined by implementing and integrating the FTP modules in the new landscape within the agreed upon timeline and forecast.

The length of this SAP Program commitment is 2+ years. The expectation is that this role will become part of an SAP COE post-project for Enterprise-wide support and ongoing improvements as well as the Procurement Excellence Team.

This position offers multiple work arrangements: on-site at a USE or USW facility, hybrid or fully remote work allowed in most locations within the United States, depending upon the responsibilities of the role and business needs.*

Responsibilities:
  • Receive training and become a functional expert on SAP FTP design and support data requirements, including gaining an understanding of product capability (now & future)
  • Facilitate design of final processes in accordance with SAP Best Practices, build business alignment regarding future state, and establish process performance measurement system (KPIs)
  • Participate in the development of business requirements, future state processes, and process fit/gap analysis
  • Participate in Reports, Interface, Conversion, Enhancements, Forms and Workflow (RICEFW) governance
  • Work with FTP SI Consultants and IT to define requirements for technical design and configuration
  • Provide guidance and direction regarding data preparation and conversion required to the future state design
  • Provide input into the development of user stories and test scenarios, and facilitate User Training and User Acceptance Testing
  • Participate with go-live preparation and cutover, and assist with the knowledge transfer between Consultants and COE for each rollout
  • Report/escalate any risks or issues to FTP GPO and ensure deliverables are completed in accordance with the project schedule
  • Liaise/engage with Division Coordinator, business users and COE within the respective Process Area and/or facilitate cross-functional interactions

Required Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 5 years in-depth experience in the Planning function within FTP and current business practices within the FTP process
  • Experience in use of SAP planning modules PP and/or APO/PPDS
  • Working knowledge of production planning and scheduling, capacity optimization and support for customer service, inventory control, planning related material master data, sub-contracting planning, Inter/intra company stock transfer, etc
  • Working knowledge of upstream and downstream processes (e.g., production processes, direct procurement, sales operations, etc.) a plus
  • Broad perspective on how the function is being performed across Divisions and/or sites
  • Strong technical and analytical problem-solving skills combined with the ability to handle multiple business situations
  • Exposure to multiple functions / businesses with good understanding of Gore corporate culture
  • Ability to solicit and capture effective requirements and provide clear documentation
  • Ability to effectively facilitate discussions with multiple groups / cross-functional team
  • Ability & willingness to travel 25%

Desired Qualifications:

  • Experience working cross-functionally and with cross-division responsibilities and projects
  • Knowledge of assigned process disciplines and technology platforms including FTP, the SAP modules, add-ons and ancillary systems affiliated with the FTP specialization area
  • Strong collaborative skills, positive attitude, high energy and ability to build relationships and networks with multiple functions and at the leadership levels
  • Remote Working Arrangements are permitted for Associates in the continental United States (US) and Canada, with appropriate approval and compliance with Gore’s remote working policies, from the country in which they are employed. For fully remote roles, the following locations are not eligible for new fully remote work arrangements: Alaska and Hawaii (for all roles), and Rhode Island (for wage/hourly roles only).
