VFI seeks an experienced, professional Business Process Analyst Level II for a complex, multi-year contract to support the Air Force Reserve Command (AFRC) Information Technology (IT) Services.


Business Process Analysis Summary: As new technologies proliferate in IT, AFRC teams must remain agile to modify business and operational practices as needed to efficiently provide IT services to users and members. Business process analysis is required to assist with process documentation, mapping, and improvement initiatives, as well as to conduct technology research, cost/benefit analysis, and decision-level metrics/analysis. This function will also assist the A6 IT Operations teams as the ITIL Problem Manager on an as-needed basis, facilitating the restoration of critical services. Problem management assistance may take priority over process analysis tasks.


Note: All candidates must possess an active DoD Secret clearance.


Location: Robins AFB/Warner Robins, GA

Schedule: Monday - Friday, weekends as needed

Travel: Minimal, less than 10%


Duties and Responsibilities
:

The Business Process Analyst should perform the following:

  • Initiate and identify process improvement opportunities by conducting the following:
    • Stakeholder Interviews.
    • Practice the "5-Why's", an iterative interrogative technique used to explore the cause-and-effect relationships to identify root cause of a particular problem.
    • Conduct user and stakeholder surveys.
    • Review and analyze data metrics.
    • Perform Root Cause Analysis.
  • Lead/conduct or participate in organizational process improvement activities.
    • Value Stream Mapping.
    • Lean events.
    • Perform and complete a review of all written MOPs and SOPs annually.

  • Conduct cost/benefit analyses for Cloud versus On-Premises decisions.
  • During base/enterprise-wide incident/problem events, provide and monitor a troubleshooting forum dedicated to restoring services.
    • Ensure the correct functional IT representatives are invited and participating.
    • Provide status of troubleshooting efforts to A6 leadership.
  • Provide input to on-site contract manager as required to support deliverables.

Requirements and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Management, Computer Systems, Information Systems, and/or equivalent work experience.
  • At least three (3) years of experience in a business process analysis role.
  • Business process certification such as Lean Six Sigma, Capability Maturity Model Integration (CMMI), International Organization for Standardization (ISO), or equivalent.
  • Familiarity with:
    • The limitations and capabilities of computer systems and technology.
    • Operational support of networks, operating systems, Internet technologies, databases, and security infrastructure.
    • Cybersecurity and information security controls, practices, procedures, and regulations.
    • Incident response practices and procedures.
  • Skill in the use of a computer and applicable software used in the configuring, deploying, and monitoring of system performance.
  • Ability to communicate effectively; and to observe operations processes and practices without adversely impacting the fulfillment of day-to-day mission requirements.
