The Business Solutions Analyst is responsible for Legacy System utility set-up and maintenance, user training and support, claims/ERA processing issues related to carriers and/or Relay Health processes. This role will also work with partners to identify, evaluate, and develop system procedures which are cost effective and meet business requirements. Function is responsible for testing/performing QA activities and providing details, recommendations and direction to Legacy Programmers related to any issues or problems detected. May plan and execute unit integration and acceptance testing and will work with Programming to update specifications for systems to meet specific needs. Work assignments are moderately complex in nature where system knowledge is required in resolving problems and making routine updates and recommendations to mitigate. May interact with functional peer groups at management levels and/or outside customers.

Primary Responsibilities:
- Performs moderately complex system research in troubleshooting and resolving issues reported by Operations and exercises judgment within defined procedures and practices; combined with system knowledge to determine appropriate action
- Clarifies system set-up requirements and protocol and performs moderately complex utility entry and maintenance, as well as updates claims and billing processing codes and data integrity check/review
- Detailed analysis of new client, billing data and files to identify potential problems or issues
- Monitors claims filed for internal customer to determine accuracy of content and claims acceptance
- Tests and performs QA activities on moderately complex system settings/changes
- Performs moderately complex claims/ERA processing issue research and resolution on user technical support tickets
- Completes moderately complex ad hoc requests as needed for clients/operations or troubleshooting
- Conducts moderately complex system support and training modules
- Other duties as assigned

Required Qualifications:
- High School Diploma/GED (or higher) OR 1+ year of experience in a medical billing office
- Ability to work Monday - Friday, 8:00 am - 4:30 pm EST with some flexibility
Preferred Qualifications:
- Working knowledge in analysis and translating specification
- Working knowledge of 837 and 837 transaction formats
- Billing and/or analytical support experience within a medical billing office
- Familiarity with EDI 835 & 837 transaction sets (era and claim)
- Familiarity with data files formats such as .txt or .csv
- Ability to work with large amounts of data, including checks for integrity, summation
Soft Skills:
- Proven solid analytical thinking, excellent organizational skills and detail oriented
- Ability to multitask and work through complex issues in a fast-paced environment
- Demonstrated excellent communication (both written and oral) with solid personal computer literacy, including working knowledge of relevant software packages such as Microsoft Office (Excel, Access, PowerPoint and Word)
