Position Summary

We are hiring for a Business Systems Analyst position in our IT Software Development department. The position will work alongside other Business Systems Analysts and report to the Manager of Business Systems. The core functions are to help establish processes and/or systems to support the business, collect and create detailed requirements, and communicate across the organization. To succeed in this role the candidate must be an analytical thinker, provide details to development, assist the application delivery, and be able to explain concepts to non-technical users.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Clarifying business ideas and needs.

• Perform technology needs, research, and analysis.

• Validate requirements with stakeholders and project team.

• Assist in defining tasks and features for the software development team to fulfill requirements and bug fixes.

• Assist the team in developing and scoping backlog items and/or tasks for sprints.

• Coordinate with users to test software application changes before and after deployment.

• Help standardize the requirements and documentation process.

Qualifications and Experience

• Candidate must possess at least Bachelor’s/College Degree in Engineering (Computer/Telecommunication), Engineering (Electrical/Electronic), Computer Science/Information Technology, Physics or equivalent.

• At least 3 years of professional experience in software business analysis.

• Experience writing detailed functional business requirements for developing software.

• Experience following agile principles using Scrum or other agile frameworks.

• Experience with illustrating ideas using wireframes, storyboards, and process flows.

• Practical experience working in an agile development environment.

• Experience with cloud-based technologies such as Microsoft Azure, AWS.
