If you are a Buyer/Planner professional looking for an opportunity to grow, Emerson has an exciting opportunity for you! Based in our Sherman, TX location, this position supports the purchase of a wide variety of items/commodities for the Parts Business.

AS A BUYER/PLANNER, YOU WILL:

• Use Planner Workbench to release new orders and reschedule orders to suppliers
• Set up purchase requisitions for Procurement, based on schedule need dates, lead times and quantity requirements
• Handles purchase orders by completing order acknowledgements, processing quantity, price and lead time changes, and managing item attributes
• Works with Global Supply Chain to ensure alignment with Global and Regional sourcing strategies and consistent pricing
• Responsible for ensuring supply alignment to satisfy all demand streams while maintaining inventory targets
• Manage inventory levels of assigned product line
• Promotes good vendor relations
• Informs management of vendor problems that could affect the company quality and delivery commitments
• Preserves close coordination with customer service and quality to maintain service levels
• Perform financial and inventory reporting in accordance with Emerson standard schedule
• Review sales backlog related to material shortages and provide recommendations on possible substitutions

REQUIRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & SKILLS:

• BS or BA degree in related field or APICS certification or 5 years in Planning and/or Purchasing in a Manufacturing environment or a combination of education and work experience
• Must have good verbal and written communication ability
• Basic knowledge of purchasing practices and procedures

PREFERRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & SKILLS:

• APICS, CPIM, or CSCP or other related certifications
• Knowledge of valves and other manufacturing processes

Flexible Work Schedule - Remote Work Option:

This role has the flexibility of a remote work option up to two days a week. Our teams work together to ensure our chosen work schedules enable our creativity and efficiency as we serve the needs of our customers.
