Job Summary

Assembles, tests, and repairs precision cables used in computers, electronic instruments, radar, sonar, and similar electronic systems. Read and follow prints, wire diagrams, schematics, and verbal and written instruction orders to determine methods and sequence of assembly operations.

Requirements

• Ability to work from schematics, prints, or wiring diagrams
• Ability to use soldering irons, wire strippers, crimpers, multimeters, meggers or heat guns
• Experience with cable assembly: copper and/or fiber optic
• Experience with Microsoft Office Suite
• Applicants must be a “U.S. Persons” as defined in International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). A “U.S. Person” is a U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident, or an individual who has been admitted as a refugee or granted asylum

Responsibilities

• Solders and bolts electrical and electronic components in specified location on assembly
• Connects wires to specified terminals following diagrams, wire lists, and color codes
• Assembles cables: copper, and fiber optic
• Verifies dimensions and clearances of parts to ensure conformance to print specifications
• Fits parts together and installs them in housings and aligns parts to ensure smooth operation of mechanical parts
• Test the completed work with an ohm meter
• Inspect and measure finished products and compare them with requirements

Education\Experience

• High school diploma or equivalent
• 6 - 24 months related experience

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.00 - $23.00 per hour
