Calibration Scheduler position in a large pharmaceutical plant in Carlow

€55-60k neg., plus pension, healthcare and benefits

The calibration planner/scheduler is accountable for the smooth execution of all appropriate functions associated within the calibration department.

They will contribute to the High Performance culture within the integrated facilities management function by providing a flexible, accurate service to enable the team to achieve key deliverables. They are an active member of the integrated facilities management function providing support, guidance and expertise.

Key Tasks

Site Compliance:

  • Required to comply with the Company's global policies, procedures, guidelines, regulatory requirements and execute current good manufacturing practice in the performance of day to day activities and all applicable job functions.
  • Complete site training and keep up to date with the latest operational procedures.
  • Work collaboratively to drive a safe and compliant culture

Safety / EHS Responsibility:

  • Participate toolbox talks
  • Promote a culture of EHS excellence at facility and provide high-quality safety, health and welfare technical leadership to assigned operations.
  • Maintain permitting and compliance strategies.

Coordinate the Calibration Department

  • Co-ordinate technicians to ensure the calibration schedule is maintained, comply with the managed work flow process including planning interaction, scheduling, ProCal interaction and job analysis.
  • Co-ordinate response to emergency breakdowns across the site where an Calibration Technician is required.
  • Direct the repair and recalibration of instrumentation effectively and efficiently to minimize system downtime.
  • To liaise with end users to determine instrumentation requirements and to offer alternative solutions (this also include interaction with projects group).
  • Manage on-boarding of instrumentation for new projects, and provide guidance and support of the onboarding process for equipment – Ensure master equipment lists for onboarding are maintained.
  • To write and complete quality notifications (QNs), CAPAs
  • Lead the management of specialist vendors, to ensure work is completed to required standard.
  • To work on small projects to improve system performance and reliability
  • Become SME on relevant topics within the functional area
  • Ensure SLAs are in place and adhered to for instrumentation and calibration systems

Experience

- Trade Qualification – Instrumentation Preferrable

- 3 years Engineering experience within a regulated environment.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Salary: €55,000.00-€60,000.00 per hour
