Easterseals NH and the Daniel Webster Council, Boy Scouts of America work together at this nationally-recognized, residential camp program, sponsored by the New Hampshire Snowmobile Association to create a life-changing experience for campers.

Located in Gilmanton Iron Works, NH, children and young adults with disabilities and special needs, ages 11-21, can inclusively participate alongside Boy Scouts in a wide variety of activities including aquatics, archery, riflery, zip line/ropes course, STEAM, ecology, arts and crafts, emergency first aid, fire safety, and scout craft. We believe that every camper should have the opportunity to achieve their goals.

We are looking for an Assistant Camp Director to assist with the coordination of camp programs to meet the educational, recreational, social and therapeutic needs of campers! The individual in this key position will assist with the following:

• Ensure, through the recruitment, training and supervision of staff development and maintenance of physical facilities and equipment, implementation of operational procedures, the health, welfare and safety of everyone at the camp.
• Assist with the development, implementation and evaluation of recreational programs to maintain or improve the abilities of persons with disabilities.
• Engage in education and information activities leading toward and aimed at fostering public awareness of, and positive response to, the camping program.
• Provide the Camp Director with the information and recommendations concerning camp in order to facilitate effective operations.
• Adhere to a Safety/Risk Management Program that includes assessment, evaluation, and establishment of procedures, incident review, workplace engineering, training and such other measures that ensure a safe and healthy workplace environment.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 21 years of age
• Bachelor's Degree in Recreation, Education or related field
• 3+ years of experience in an overnight residential camp
• Life Guard certification is a plus
• Valid driver's license and reliable vehicle

Hours: This is an overnight, sleep away camp. The Assistant Camp Director must commit from June 12th through August 26th. Each week, campers will arrive on Sunday and leave Friday.

Compensation: $8,000 for the summer + room and board.
