JMT’s Survey department offers an exciting work environment that leverages modern technology (terrestrial/mobile/aerial LiDAR, Drones, robotics, bathymetry, etc.) balanced with sound traditional survey procedures to deliver projects.
Position summary: Responsible for Project management, QA/QC, and data processing specific field survey projects (reality capture). Sponsorship is not available for this position.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities
- Experience with management of multiple technicians
- Experience with Project management
- Experience with DOT survey processes
- Proficient at registration and extraction from remote sensing systems (LiDAR and Photogrammetry
- QA/QC experience

- Perform other related duties as assigned
Required Skills
Required Experience
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Extensive knowledge in field surveying techniques, including data collection, traverse establishment, GNSS surveys, and construction stakeouts.
Preferred Experience
- Open roads Designer or Carlson Survey Experience
- Experience with Leica and/or Trimble scanners
Working Conditions
Office work is required 95% of the time, where work may be conducted inside. Some lifting (up to 50 lbs) may be required as needed.
