The community you’ll be caring for:

• AdventHealth East Orlando, a 265-bed community hospital, has been serving East Orlando residents since 1941 as an innovative local leader that fills a vital need in a fast-growing area

• A recent 200,000 square-foot expansion project upgraded the hospital to 265 beds, with a spacious patient tower and 80 new private rooms designed to enhance the holistic care experience

• Annual number of emergency cases: 89,018

The role you’ll contribute:

Conducts cardiac echoes, peripheral vascular studies, stress echoes, and segmental leg pressure studies.

The value you’ll bring to the team:

• Operates, troubleshoots, and appropriately requests repairs for testing equipment in a safe, appropriate, and knowledgeable manner

• Performs various cardiac ultrasound procedures, under supervision

• Analyzes test data and accurately communicates findings to cardiologists

• Documents patient information, responses, treatments, feedback, and results

• Maintains equipment in a clean, safe, and organized state. Orders supplies, as necessary

• Maintains up-to-date and accurate case/progress notes. Writes reports reflecting advanced knowledge and clinical reasoning, ensuring they meet departmental standards

The expertise and experiences you’ll need to succeed:

• Graduate of Ultrasound Program

• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification

• Diagnostic Sonographer Credentialing accepted from:

o American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS), and Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI), and Advanced Cardiac Sonographer (ACS)

o Echocardiography – Adult
