Care About You are looking for Care Assistants / Support Workers that are passionate about working in their own communities, to help support adults with disabilities, children with disabilities and the elderly to live independent and full lives within their own homes and the wider community.

Care About You (Midlands) work closely with the HSE in both disability services and in elderly home care, we are a market leader in providing truly person-centred and holistic home care and community respite to both the Adults and Children who require our services.

Care About You are seeking a dedicated support worker / care assistant who wishes to work with a diverse group of people to join our dynamic team, you could be helping an elderly person with ADL’s in the morning or in the evening, assisting an adult with disabilities to live independently at lunch time and supporting an child with autism to access community respite in the afternoon.

To be part of the Care About You home-care team it is essential to have good communication skills, be adaptable and flexible and have true passion for your role and the difference that you can make in the lives of the adults and children that require our service.

Care About You provides services to clients in their own homes, as such it is important to understand that working hours include evenings and weekends in addition to normal working hours on a rolling roster.
Care About You (Midlands) are currently offering both full time and part-time flexible positions to the right candidates

Essential Requirements:*

  • Fluent written and spoken English
  • Full QQI Level 5 (or above) major award in Healthcare (or related discipline).
  • Previous caring experience
  • Full Driver’s License
  • Adaptability and flexibility
  • Good communication skills
  • Willingness to work 50% of weekends as part of a rolling roster
  • Willingness to work support calls of varying lengths, including 30 min and 45 min support calls


Desirable Requirements:

  • Current patient handling certificate
