Qualifications

• High school or equivalent (mandatory)
• Driver's License (preferred)
• Unarmed/Armed - BSIS Guard Card (must obtain before employment begins)
• Armed - BSIS Exposed Weapon Firearm Permit (mandatory)
• 1 Year of Customer Service Experience (preferred)
• CPR/First Aid (Must obtain within 90 days of employment)
• Must be fully vaccinated to work this site per school’s COVID 19 protocols (mandatory)
• Reliably commute to West Hills or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)

Armed and Unarmed Campus Safety Officer – private high school in West Hills

Regular shifts plus extra hours may be accumulated by working special school events or working at our other locations.

• Primary role is Campus Safety and Security.
• Campus Safety Officers provide the physical and personal security and safety measures for students, faculty, staff and visitors.
• Other duties include, access control, crowd control, traffic safety, emergency response, report writing and school code enforcement.
• This is a physically challenging post including patrolling, standing post, and some weather-related challenges as it includes some outside work.
• High value target requires mental alertness and the ability to communicate well and de-escalate when needed.

Provided Training:

Beyond PSC Security Company training in company procedures and practices, officers will benefit by training in:

• Proactive Threat Assessment
• Predictive Assessment Techniques
• Proactive Security Questioning and Engagement techniques.
• De-escalation Training
• Anti-terrorism Training
• Threatening Call Training
• Sexual Harassment Training

Field training will include:

• Indoor Range Firearm training
• Outdoor Tactical firearms training

Training Drills:

• Unannounced Red Team scenarios for quality assurance including field training debriefs.
• Lockdown training drills in co-operation with LAPD and LAFD

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $21.00 per hour
