Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) can make a difference in the life of someone by supporting daily life skills, encourage community interactions, build a social network, go on outings, and have a great time while getting paid to do so.
- On the job training and CPR/First Aid certification

Caregiver / Direct Support Professional (DSP)
Job Summary
The Direct Support Professional (DSP) is responsible for a variety of duties related to the support and overall care of individuals with disabilities who are participating in community support programs.
This includes direct support of program participants/clients and implementation of
Individual Support Plans (ISP), Positive Behavior Support Plans (PBSP) and
ADLs/IADLs. Direct Support Professionals are required to perform all duties in accordance with State of Oregon’s regulations and company policies and procedures.
Required
- Be nice.
- Proof of vaccination.
- Minimum 18 years of age and have a High School diploma or equivalent.
- Possess and maintain a valid Oregon driver’s license, and insured vehicle that meets minimum State of Oregon insurance requirements.
- Able to pass a Background Check that meets State of Oregon requirements.
Preference
- Prefer one year experience delivering direct support services to people with disabilities or direct care services either in classroom, place of employment, day care, medical, or residential settings.
- Current CPR/1st Aid Certification or willing to obtain with 30 days.
- Core Competency & Training Certifications for Direct Support Professionals or obtain within 12 months of hire.
Work location
- Work is performed at various locations in the community based on customer needs.
