Friendsview is hiring a Caregiver Training Specialist
Friendsview is proud to be known as one of the most respected employers in Yamhill County. We are a not-for-profit Life Plan Community serving over 500 Independent and Assisted Living residents in Newberg, Oregon with a mission to provide active residential living and quality continuing care to seniors in a faith-based community.
This position would be required to coordinate in-service training for direct care staff to ensure they remain current on procedures, changes in policies, etc. this includes but is not limited to direct instruction, scheduling speakers or training, collaborating with Staffing personnel to develop and manage online assignments.
A qualified individual would train new caregivers to perform person-centered care tasks, honor resident rights, follow policies and procedures specific to the provision of care for older people who need assistance with their activities of daily living, and serves as a liaison with the external BNA program providers as a clinical education site.
Qualifications needed for this role are: CNA License (CNA2
preferred), at least 2 years experience in a long-term care setting or experience working with older adults, CPR Certification upon hire, Med training or CMA preferred, and AHA or Red Cross CPR Certified instructor (
preferred)
Starting Wages: $19.50 – $21.50/hr DOE
This is a part-time position (20 hours a week)
