Job Title: Class 1 Carpenter

Reports to: Carpentry Foreman

Location: Franklin

Status: Non-Exempt, Hourly

Hours: Full Time, 6:00 A.M. – 4:00 P.M. M-F

Potential for overtime on Weekdays and Weekends

Education or Required Experience:

· 2 to 3 years of experience in marine, residential, or commercial carpentry

· Proficient in reading and fabricating from blueprints

Required Skills:

· Must be able to laminate Formica and work with various materials including Corian

· Must be able to install carpet

· Ability to upholster and install headliners and wall panels

· Must be able to fabricate and install finishing work with seamless edges including trim and moldings

· Possesses excellent judgment with respect to material usage as well as efficient installation processes to minimize weight

· Conscious of all aspects of marine fabrication including weight

· Must be able to follow instructions

· Must be able to operate hand tools and power tools including, but not limited to, a table saw, chop saw, router, belt sander, and multi-meter.

· Employee must procure a number of specific tools; a list will be provided

Physical Requirements: Must be able to lift up to 50lbs. Must be able to stand, bend, stoop, squat or kneel regularly, as well as climb stairs and ladders to complete tasks.
