Job description
Primary Responsibilities:
- Manage the lifecycle of assigned cases, and advise on best practices relating to document production, workflow management and the case team
- Act as point person between case teams and attorneys; appropriately delegate work to junior legal assistants on the case teams and coordinate their activities to accomplish deposition and witness interview preparation goals
- Support attorneys as it relates to document handling, case analysis, discovery processes, preparation for depositions and trial
- Facilitate orderly case administration and reporting through implementation of internal matter management tools and systems, taking the lead in working with attorneys in the preparation and filing of all court documents.
- Supervise and coordinate work assignments and training of legal assistants, litigation clerks and temporary litigation staff
Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent litigation experience required; paralegal certificate preferred
- 8+ years extensive litigation or IP litigation
- Trial and case management experience required
- Strong experience with cite checking legal motions and memoranda required
- Knowledge of e-discovery procedures and resources
- Demonstrated supervisory experience strongly preferred
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Flexibility for occasional off-hour meetings and events, occasional local or overnight travel to regional offices or on extended trial assignments, and availability to work outside of normal business hours
