King Goose Hospitality is looking for experienced Cashiers to join our team at one of our 7 culinary concepts in Julia & Henry's. Julia and Henry’s is an upcoming multi-level building that will include an eatery on the first three floors, a co-working space on the 4th and 5th floor, and a 7000 square foot rooftop restaurant with stunning views of the city. This organic gastronomic experience will elevate Miami’s food scene and will become the place to be. Each culinary concept has been meticulously curated by putting together one of the country’s most inspiring cast of talent, comprised by an impressive lineup of world-renowned chefs and local favorites. Our stalls will include casual concepts by chefs who have been awarded World’s 50 Best Restaurants.

Our 7 concepts range in different food cuisines. The preferred candidates will have Cashier experience in at least one of the following cuisine types:

  • Carniceria
  • Mediterranean
  • Asian
  • Italian Tapas

JOB DESCRIPTION

POSITION TITLE: CASHIER

REPORTS TO: KITCHEN MANAGER

POSITION SUMMARY

The primary responsibility of the cashier is to provide customers with fast and friendly service while ensuring accuracy at the sales counter. The cashier will take orders, collect payment, pack orders, and clean as necessary.

PRIMARY JOB DUTIES

  • Arrive at property in uniform at scheduled time
  • Ensure that expo area configuration is set to standards
  • Accept food from POS and fulfill completed orders on KDS
  • Ensure food presentation is up to par before serving it
  • Ensure food is delivered on time to all guests
  • Give food to team members and complete to-go orders
  • Fulfill all customer orders
  • Assemble food product containers and package in the correct manner
  • Take over the phone orders and enter those orders into the POS system
  • Responsible for ensuring that the plate arrives to the guest. It is important that the plates are handled carefully and brought out in a timely manner, to ensure optimal food temperature
  • Describe food - responsible for knowing how each dish is presented in order to assure that the proper order has been delivered to the table
  • Serve food and/or beverages to guests
  • Maintain adequate supplies of items such as silverware, glassware, dishes, and trays
  • Fill beverage and ice dispensers
  • Keep wait stations clean, set up and take down stations appropriately
  • Supply guests with sauces and or utensils and the like upon requests
  • Scrape and stack dirty dishes, and carry dishes and other tableware to the designated area
  • Cleanup work areas, countertops, spilled food, drinks, and broken dishes, and remove empty bottles and trash
  • Perform cleaning and stocking duties in order to facilitate customer service
  • Attendance at all scheduled training sessions and meetings is required
  • Promptly report all maintenance issues
  • Service oriented, must have a professional attitude
  • Adhere to all state and federal requirements regarding the sale of alcohol
  • Adhere to all Health Department requirements
  • Adhere to all work rules, procedures and policies established by the company
  • Any other duties as assigned by the company in order to operate the business most efficiently

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Ability to hear effectively to take a guest order in person and over the phone
  • Ability to speak and write down specials, menu items and ask questions to verify order
  • Ability to type and tap keys to complete point of service sale
  • Ability to make change and calculate ticket manually if necessary
  • Ability to walk/stand up 100% of the time
  • Ability to grasp, hold, set down, redirect with hands, turn, control and manipulate objects
  • Ability to use body parts, arms, hands, shoulders and back, to elevate an object above its previous surface level
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds waist high and up to 20 pounds overhead
  • Ability to bend, stoop, squat, carry, push and lift up to 50 lbs. on a regular and continuing basis; must be able to stretch to fulfill cleaning/inspection tasks
  • Ability to climb steps, ladders and other vertical and semi-vertical surfaces to reach a higher level
  • Ability to use body parts on a regular and continuing basis to repeat the same motions for a reasonable period of time without resting
  • The worker is subject to noise. There is sufficient noise to cause the worker to shout in order to be heard above the ambient noise level

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • High School Diploma or GED preferred
  • Minimum one year experience preferably in hotels or restaurants
  • Exceptional guest service skills
  • Must be able to work without close supervision
  • Flexible and long hours sometimes required
  • Availability to work holidays, nights, and weekends
  • Associates may be required to work varying schedules to reflect the business needs of the restaurant
