Responsibilities
Are you patient centered and thrive on providing top notch customer service? Consider joining our team as a Cashier. You will be responsible for operating the cafeteria cash register. Stocking cafeteria. Provide excellent customer service. Stocking work area and maintain a clean and organized cafeteria and seating area.
Day-to-day:
- Efficiently and accurately operates cafeteria cash register.
- Ensures accuracy of menu item prices, notifying Supervisor of discrepancies.
- Prepares coffee, smoothies, juice, and cappuccino machines.
- Checks and records temperature of food as required. Reports temperatures out of acceptable range to Supervisor immediately.
- Cleans microwaves, dish return, dining area tables, chairs, café equipment, counters, shelves, tile, etc.
- Deposits receipts and buys change for cash register from department secretary.
- Stocks supplies such as condiments, silverware, napkins, cups, trays, and all applicable food offered for sale in the cafeteria.
- Cleans and sanitizes equipment.
- Orders, transports, and puts away supplies.
- Pushes carts, racks and trays.
- Inspects integrity of food products prior to use.
- Monitors food items for proper dating and labeling.
- Assists in other areas of the department as requested.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED.
- Good math skills.
- Experience in restaurant or healthcare food service or cashiering desirable.
- Proof of completion of Mandatory Reporter abuse training for child and dependent adult abuse within three (3) months of hire.
Pay Range
$15.00 - $18.84 /hour
