Role Purpose

We are looking for a highly experienced Category Manager to join our Alpro team at Danone Ireland. Health is at the heart of everything we do, uniting us and guiding our decision making. We work with some of the Ireland's most loved brands in the Plant Based, Dairy, Baby and waters categories. This a key role working with the Ireland's top retailers to shape their strategy to deliver great shopping experiences and maximise category growth.

Role Focus

You’ll be responsible to build strong growth plans and recommendations for Alpro Ireland. The purpose of the is to drive and deliver our category vision with key strategic partners to support Danone Alpro’s outperformance.

The role is varied and you’ll be accountable for:

Customer Management

• Co-building a category strategy with customers to ensure their sustainable growth, based on Alpro category vision and retailer strategy
• Help unlock category parentships in key retailers by building strong relationships with stakeholders in customers to influence the category strategy.
• Build and deliver action plans based on key insights
• Working closely with retailers to run range review processes across all their formats, from set up, implementation and performance review
• Working and collaborating our distribution partners on category management to ensure they’re aligned and delivering our category vision and strategy
• Growing distribution and share of shelf for Alpro Ireland to the benefit of the retailer's categories
• Analysing the results of range reviews and the impact in the category

Category Projects

• Lead monthly category meetings to deliver performance updates utilizing all datasets available
• Preparing and presenting category insights and recommendations ongoing both internally and externally
• Leading category education projects internally, working collaborative with internal stakeholders and external customers
• Supporting Senior Category Manager with projects aligned to our category vision
• Support on other categories with data queries and data management
