We are currently seeking to recruit a full time Catering Assistant for our Nursing Home Glengara Park Nursing Home, Lower Glenageary Road, Dun Laoghaire.

The role requires the holder to be continuously vigilant towards the dignity, comfort and safety of residents in the nursing home.

Catering Assistant Duties include:

• Tidying and cleaning, preparation and serving areas and washing equipment daily
• Complete daily, weekly & periodic checking of operational checklists including cleaning, supplier, temperature checks etc.
• Follow proper food handling and hygiene procedures.
• Ensure all HACCP regulations are compiled with, including the accurate and correct recording of storage, cooking temperatures, date recording etc
• Preparing meals and confectionaries and maintaining food levels throughout the day as appropriate.
• Delivery of breakfast to residents’ communal rooms.
• Serving of refreshments to residents mid-morning and afternoon.
• Cleaning and preparation of the kitchen and eating area to ensure a high quality of service is delivered to residents of the nursing home.
• Handling incoming deliveries as required.
• Other duties assigned by the Head Chef as required.
• Continuously suggests and assists in developing new concepts

General Operative Duties include Housekeeping and Laundry support as and when required.
