ABOUT THE ROLE:

The Driver is responsible for the timely and safe transporting of residents to various individual and group activities/functions and medical appointments. CDL Driver with Passenger Endorsement Required! We are searching for full-time and part-time driver on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays with flexible shifts.

You are excited about this opportunity because you will:

• Pick up and deliver residents to all scheduled activities and appointments where transportation is needed.
• Complete a safety check of the applicable vehicle, (i.e., car or bus) before transporting residents to and from scheduled activities and appointments.
• Accurately record vehicle mileage and resident attendance for all scheduled transportation.

Other Duties:

• Maintain the cleanliness of the vehicle, inside and out.
• Transport vehicle(s) to service locations for routine preventive maintenance on vehicle(s) as scheduled by supervisor.
• Notifies supervisor of necessary repairs and vehicle malfunctions.
• Immediately notify supervisor of resident concerns, problems, or incidents.
• Make miscellaneous runs for administration errands as necessary.
• Maintain all tools, equipment and supplies in proper condition.
• Accomplish all work in the order of priority set by supervisor.
• Attend in-service training and education sessions, as assigned. Must be CPR, AED and First Aid certified.
• Perform specific work duties and responsibilities as assigned by supervisor.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• High school education required. Ability to understand and follow instructions in English, communicate effectively, and perform simple arithmetic.
• Must possess a valid Driver’s license in applicable state.
• Must possess a valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with passenger endorsement.
• Must have a good driving record and meet the company’s Driver Selection Policy standards.
• Must be able to maintain a courteous, friendly and helpful attitude with the residents at all times.
• Must be able to interpret and follow map directions.
