Local Roots Kombucha is a 4-year-old growing brand located in Vista, CA, featuring dozens of flavors of hard kombucha, hard tea, beer, and ready to drink cocktails. At our Vista taproom attached to our mothership brewing facility we showcase a NY-style pizza kitchen. In our Solana Beach satellite tasting room we feature a local Sushi kitchen. We are a tight-knit team that that takes pride in creating more than just beer, we are all about innovation and the "better-for-you" alcohol category. Our focus is the Local Roots Hard Kombucha brand and also brew and packaging for several other brands under our roof - which is why we need to expand our team!
Job Requirements:Prior relevant brewery experience required! (please do not contact if this would be your first time working in a production brewer)
Formal brewing education & some canning experience preferred but not required
Self-starter, ability to take initiative, lead projects, manage time efficiently and work independently.
Exceptional focus, organizational skills, meticulous attention to details with quality, sanitation and safety.
Must be team player.
Must be able to lift 65 lbs (5g kegs and bags of sugar/grain), hand truck kegs, and regularly bend, twist, reach, stoop and climb ladders periodically.
Must be able to work early mornings and occasional weekends (most brewery work is done M-F ~6:00 AM – 3:00 PM).
Must be 21+ years old.
Job Responsibilities – Brewery Operations (below is not all-inclusive)General Cellarwork – CIP’ing tanks & equipment. Transferring liquid from tank to tank, carbonating, dosing, dry-hopping, yeast handling, centrifuging, etc.
Kegging – keg cleaning, sanitizing, filling & keg machine maintenance.
Draft system – cleaning & maintaining draft lines and dispense equipment.
Safety – Must work in a safe manner, wear proper PPE as appropriate, maintain a clean, tidy and organized workplace at all times and adhere to safety procedures.
Assist with canning operations on all packaging runs
Assist with maintenance as necessary.
Work with head brewer/quality assurance manager/owners regarding new recipes and/or other specialty projects.
Assist with events and promotions as necessary (occasionally).
Keg/can/bottle delivery (occasionally).
Longer-term growth:Brewing on our production (30BBL) as well as pilot (1BBL) brewing systems.

Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
