Central Scheduler Weirton Medical
Work Hours/Shift:
Day shift, Weekdays
Central Scheduler Will Be Responsible For:
- Schedules appointments and pre-register patients for outpatient tests and procedures.
- Coordinates, screens and provides information to patients, physicians, hospital staff and departments.
- Indicates whether the physicians order has been faxed or given to the patient in the pre-registration comments.
Central Scheduler Qualifications
What You Will Need:
High school graduate or GED equivalent. Two or more year clerical experience in a hospital/physician office environment with knowledge of outpatients tests, patient preps, multi-test compatibility and sequencing, procedure codes, ICD-9 and ICD-10 diagnosis codes, and medical terminology.
Patient Access knowledge and experience; PC literate with experience in Microsoft Excel and Word, faxing, and printers.
Knowledge of managed care policies and authorization processes. Working knowledge of Siemens Invision’s Registration System, 3M product, order entry or other hospital/professional services Information systems. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. Self starter with strong team player abilities. Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
