Administers prescribed medications to residents and maintains related medical records under immediate supervision. Verifies identity of resident receiving medication and records name of drug, dosage, and time of administration on specified forms or records. Takes vital signs or observes resident to detect response to medication. Requires a high school diploma or its equivalent and certified as a Medication Technician. Certification and/or licensing in the position's specialty is the main requirement.
