Job description

Glenpool Public Schools is accepting applications for assistant band director for the 2023-2024 school year. Due to large growth in the band program and the school district, we are adding a third band director position.

We would like to add to the expertise we already have on staff. Ideally, a percussion specialist is preferred, but a quality educator is our primary concern, so all applicants will be accepted.

The Glenpool band program has a rich tradition of excellence and has grown to over 250+ students 6th-12th in recent years and continues to grow. We start band in 6th grade with partially homogenous classes, have a 7th-grade band, an 8th-grade band, and a high school band. We would be interested in adding a jazz band as well.

Anyone interested in joining our team should apply at glenpool.tedk12.com/hire. If you would like more information or have any questions, feel free to contact Ken Self or Mark Henderson at klself@glenpoolps.org and mahenderson@glenpoolps.org.
