The Certified Nursing Assistant position is a critical caretaking role to ensure our residents are healthy, safe and well-cared for while at home in Luther Manor. Our Certified Nursing Assistants have the power to impact the lives of our residents each day with a big smile, an encouraging word, and a compassionate hand. Our C.N.As are a trusted partner to care for and provide companionship to those who reside at Luther Manor.

The certified nursing assistant provides care to residents involving ADL (i.e. personal hygiene, dressing, apartment management, meal preparation and light housekeeping). The certified Nursing Assistant as a partner to the unit nurse and is responsive to all our resident’s needs. At Luther Manor, our C.N.As are the backbone of the care we offer our residents and families.

• Demonstrated competency as a C.N.A through certified with State/Federal status on the State of Wisconsin Nursing Assistant Registry
• Must have the ability to interact diplomatically and effectively with staff, residents, family members, visitors and volunteers
• Candidates with an enthusiasm and passion for serving the older adult population; able to demonstrate a positive attitude, teamwork, ability to be proactive and show compassion for others
• Candidates with a positive, proactive, and solution-focused approach to work
• Ability to spend 90% of the work shift moving about the work area, extensive walking is required
• Physically able to assist and transport residents; must be able to push, pull or lift up to 35 pounds
