Crown Staffing is searching for a Peer Support Specialist at a substance abuse rehabilitation facility in Somerset, KY. This full-time opportunity pays $14/hr, and is available immediately! This position is available on Monday-Tuesday 7a-3p and Saturday -Sunday 7a-7p, and a Monday-Friday 7a-3p. Flexibility is required for weekends as needed.

This career opportunity is temp with the intent to hire. After successfully completing the required 520 hours, you may be considered for permanent placement with the client company!

In this position, you will assist individuals throughout the recovery process, helping them gain skills, access resources, and regain the confidence and self-efficacy to live and succeed in their community independently.

Serious candidates will have the following:

-Current KY Peer Support Specialist certification at the time of hire.

-Experience with reentry and navigation of community resources.

-Lived Experience (substance use)

-Moderate computer proficiency.

-Valid driver’s license accompanied by reliable insured transportation for

daily use.

-One year of sobriety

-Familiarity with various recovery models: 12 Step, Smart Recovery, faith-based initiatives, and medication-assisted treatment (MAT).

-Highly compassionate and attentive to details.

As a Peer Support Specialist, you can expect to:

-Provide goal planning sessions, access to resources, care navigation, and

one-to-one support to individuals/families.

-Follow up and conduct check-ins with individuals to gauge progress and provide

support.

-Work cooperatively and respectfully with all agency programs, co-workers, volunteers,

clients, and community members.

-Assist individuals with reentering society after being exposed to incarceration, probation, drug court, hospitalization, and other treatment facilities.

-Teach and model coping techniques and self-help strategies

-Empower patients to overcome and combat the stigma of addiction.

-Support medication-assisted addiction recovery when appropriate.
