SARC/HBC
- Must be a Certified Phlebotomy Technician, licensed by the State of California Department of Public Health (CDPH).
- Must have the skills and experience to perform adult, geriatric, adolescent, pediatric and neonatal venipuncture, and neonatal skin puncture in both an inpatient and outpatient setting.
- Knowledge of laboratory specimen handling, processing, and shipping requirements.
- Knowledge of computer systems such as EMR, LIS, email, and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Manual dexterity for pipetting and/or aliquoting specimens.
- Knowledge of Clinical and Anatomic Pathology specimen’s types, including blood, tissues, and body fluids.
- Knowledge of Clinical and Anatomic Pathology policies, procedures, processes and workflows for phlebotomy and specimen processing, handling, and transport.
- Possess effective verbal communication skills to answer questions from internal and external customers in a clear and concise manner.
- Possess written communication skills to write clear emails, EMR messages, and reports to convey information appropriately.
This position may be subject to a criminal background investigation, drug screen, Live Scan fingerprinting, medical evaluation clearance, and functional capacity assessment.
