Job description

The primary function of the Change Order Specialist is to process internal change orders as well as material coordination for the customer sites including adequate correspondence with the contact persons at the customer sites.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Processing of internal change orders as well as material coordination for the customer sites including adequate correspondence with the contact persons at the customer sites
• Checking the change description for accuracy using knowledge of our machines and processes in connection with customer needs
• Analyzing all aspects of the engineering changes
• Ensuring proper documentation is completed and submitted to office and customer in regards to change order readiness prior to shipment and completion at the customer site
• Maintaining accurate records of customer orders and requests for changes
• Generating reports on open change orders for customers throughout the process until final acceptance at the customer site
• Indirectly supervising work performed by Technicians from Final Assembly Departments supporting preparations of changes to be performed in the field.

Education and Experience Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree (or foreign educational equivalent) in Electrical, Mechanical, or Manufacturing

Engineering.

• In lieu of a bachelor’s degree, will accept two (2) additional years of experience in the machining industry.
• In addition to degree or experience in lieu of a degree, must also have at least three (3) years overall experience that included:

-Machine tool industry demonstrating strong mechanical aptitude, an in-depth knowledge of metric prints, and advanced skills in metal cutting principles and assembly cells

- Machine tool industry demonstrating strong Electrical aptitude, an in-depth knowledge of electrical prints, and advanced skills in custom built cable assemblies

- Ability to assemble complex cable connections (soldered and/or crimped) using special hand tools o Coordinating automotive turnkey equipment installations

• Must also be able to communicate in German with professional working proficiency
