Job description
Job Order Hourly Rate of Pay: $20.00 (Based on education and/or years of relevant work experience reflected on the application).
The primary purpose of this position is to assume a portion of the pastoral service, worship leadership, educational and administrative responsibilities of the Department of Pastoral Care and Education in collaboration with the Director of the department. Provide Pastoral Care and Counsel: Initial visits with new patients, follow-up visits, individual conferences and visits by referral, visits with family members, pastoral care and counseling for staff, Morning Reports, and Treatment Team Meeting to support the above. Worship Leadership: Plan and lead up to half of the worship services, plan and lead special religious and memorial services for patients and staff. Spirituality Group Leadership: Plan and lead Spirituality groups in Treatment Mall in collaboration with Mall Leadership as needed.
Serve as a clinical pastoral resource for community clergy, for treatment teams in house, and for other disciplines in the hospital, and participate in continuing education programs. Share administrative responsibilities for the Department of Pastoral Care and Education, serve on appropriate hospital and community committees, consult with hospital leadership and treatment staff, participate in the life and work of CRH.

Competence in pastoral care and counseling within the psychiatric context.- Competency in worship leadership and preaching.
- Competency in small group leadership.
- Ability to work as an interdisciplinary team member.
Master of Divinity degree from a school of theology or seminary accredited by The Association of Theological Schools (ATS) and one year of residency in Clinical Pastoral Education (CPE) and Ordination or membership in a recognized religious governed body; or
Master’s degree in related field from an appropriately accredited institution and one year of residency in Clinical Pastoral Education (CPE) and Ordination or membership in a recognized religious governed body
