Senior Relief Chef Roles-Cork City and County

  • €19 p/hour
  • Relief Team Sign on Bonus €500
  • 5 over 7
  • Own transport necessary
  • To cover specific Dublin sites

We are Baxterstorey, an exciting and innovative hospitality food service provider dedicated to delivering bespoke quality menus to our clients with flair and passion. As a growing business we are looking for enthusiastic and talented chef professionals to join our team and provide daily relief support to our varying teams across Cork. Our business is wide and varied, giving our relief chefs the opportunity to gain experience in varying types of sites and food services

This role would suit a developing chef who enjoys experiencing different locations, meeting new teams and adapts well to different environments. There are strong career paths for chefs within the business, and your career development will be supported and enhanced by our specialist culinary team of exec and development chefs.

What would we like from our Chef:

  • Display a real passion for food
  • NVQ qualification or equivalent
  • Excellent craft skills background
  • Successful progressive background in catering
  • Strong Supervisory experience
  • Ability to display a real passion for food and customer service

Chef fundamentals:

  • Plan, prepare, cook and present food to the standards required
  • Ensure that the company’s reputation for excellent food and service is enhanced with the client and customers.
  • Control portion size and monitor waste
  • Ensure supplies are correctly issued, used and accounted for to carry out stock takes and food rotation procedures
  • Maintain records relating to food production activities and supplier information
  • Ensure Health and Safety and Food Safety Standards are maintained in line with company policy
  • Set objectives and be responsible for the day to day running of the kitchen
  • Assess employee performance and recognise training needs and potential as appropriate.
  • Hold team meetings on a regular basis to communicate targets, standards required and company and client information
