It is anticipated that interviews will take place within two weeks of this closing of the posting.
Why does the job exist?
To manage the entire 13th Judicial District which includes Sandoval, Valencia and Cibola Counties.
How does it get done?
Ensure the smooth operation of all field offices. Ensure that policy and procedures are being followed. Ensure that staff are following all Children Court rules and adhering to Juvenile Detention Alternative Initiative (JDAI) standards. Work with the communities to coordinate services and be a partner in all matters concerning juvenile justice.

To serve the families and children of District 13
Ideal Candidate
Knowledge in the following area:
- Children's Court Rules;
- Juvenile Justice policy and procedure;
- Juvenile Detention Alternative Initiative (JDAI) principals;
- 3-5 years supervisory experience.
Minimum Qualification
A Bachelor's Degree in any field of study from an accredited college or university and eight (8) years of professional level experience with a light strategic impact directly related to the purpose of the position defined by the agency at the time of recruitment. Any required licensure, certification or registration shall be defined at the time of recruitment and will be in addition to the above requirements.

Employment Requirements
Must possess a current and valid Driver's License. Pre-employment background investigation is required and conditional pending results.
Working Conditions
State of New Mexico employees may be impacted by the Public Health Order dated December 19, 2022, which requires facilities licensed or certified by the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services ("CMS"), including all hospital types, long-term care facilities, nursing homes, hospice facilities and rehabilitation facilities, as well as assisted living facilities and adult day care settings, to adhere to all COVID-related requirements prescribed by CMS, including, but not limited to masking and staff vaccination.
Work is performed in an office setting with exposure to Visual/Video Display Terminal (VDT) and extensive personal computer and phone usage.
