Position: Teacher

Type: Full-Time or Part-Time

Schedule: Monday through Friday, no weekends

Playhouse Child Care Center is a well-respected early learning child care organization that is passionate about teaching and caring for young children. Our programs incorporate a fun and interactive environment for staff to teach and children to learn effectively. We are currently seeking a motivated individual to inspire and be part of a great team as a Teacher.

Responsibilities:

• Maintains an educational program that provides a fun learning environment for children 6 weeks through 5 years old.
• Creates and implements a safe, interactive curriculum and nurturing environment that provides for physical, emotional and social needs of the children and facilitates each child’s ability to reach developmental milestones.
• Daily supervision of children in a caring and patient manner and develops strategies to guide positive behaviors.
• Assists in supervision of Assistant Teachers, Aides, Volunteers and Student Interns.
• Conducts parent/teacher conferences 2 times per year and communicates effectively to parents on an on-going basis.
• Accurately documents and maintains records to meet MN DHS Rule 3, Food Program and Parent Aware requirements.
• Ensures the classroom and equipment are clean and safe.
• Maintains CPR and First Aid Certificate

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• College Transcript reflecting at least 24 quarter college credits or 16 semester college credits as approved by DHS
• Experience working in a school or childcare environment
• Effective communication skills both verbally and written while maintaining confidentiality
• Must pass applicant background study as required by licensing agency
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs. with frequent standing, walking, bending and other physical requirements to perform the job

Pay: From $15.00 per hour

• Monticello, MN 55362: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)

Experience:

• Child Care: 1 year (Required)

License/Certification:

• First Aid and CPR Certification (Preferred)
