Salt Lake's premier child care center, SMALL WORLD CHILD CARE, has been providing quality child care for our community for 42 years! We are currently looking to add a full time Cook to our team at our West Valley center location. We have a great environment with awesome staff members & benefits offered!

Responsibilities

Responsibilities include preparing a nutritious breakfast, lunch, and snack each day according to the Federal Food Program guidelines. Plan menus and request appropriate quantities of food to be ordered by the main office. Keep records of menus, recipes, and quantities required. Keep posted record of each child’s allergies and consider them in meal planning. Wash and sterilize all dishes and utensils according to proper sanitation procedures. Keep kitchen area clean. Be friendly among all children and staff. Must be comfortable working around and with kids and willing to help where needed. The Cook is a key position at the center. You will need to be very punctual, organized, and dependable to ensure that meals are prepared on time for the schedules of each classroom.

Qualifications

Must be able to pass a federal background check, have a current Food Handler’s Permit, and become First Aid certified. Must be able to speak, read, and write in English.
