We are seeking a reliable and caring part-time babysitter to provide childcare for the children of our participants at Healing House, Inc. As a babysitter, you will be responsible for following a curriculum provided by our Family Counselor to engage and educate the children in a safe and nurturing environment. This is an opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of children while supporting families in their healing journey.

Responsibilities:

Follow the curriculum provided by our Family Counselor to create engaging and age-appropriate activities for children.
Provide attentive care to ensure the safety and well-being of the children at all times.
Supervise and monitor children's activities, both indoor and outdoor, to ensure their safety.
Create a positive and inclusive environment that promotes social, emotional, and cognitive development of the children.
Help with homework or educational activities as per the curriculum provided.
Maintain open and effective communication with parents and Family Counselor regarding the children's progress and any concerns.
Follow and enforce established rules and guidelines for behavior and discipline as per the Family Counselor's recommendations.
Assist with maintaining a clean and organized childcare area, including cleaning up after activities and ensuring safety hazards are addressed.

Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent or in high school
Previous experience working with children in a childcare setting, preferably following a curriculum.
Familiarity with child development principles and best practices.
Ability to communicate effectively with children, parents, and Family Counselor.
Reliable, responsible, and punctual.
CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).
Ability to pass a background check.

Working Conditions:

This is a part-time position with flexible hours based on the needs of the program.
The babysitter will work in a childcare setting within Healing House, Inc. under the supervision of the Family Counselor.
The job may require physical activities, such as bending, lifting, and playing with children.
The babysitter will be expected to follow all policies and procedures of Healing House, Inc. and maintain confidentiality of participant information.

6 to 8 hours a week: - Tuesday nights (5:30-7:30), - Some Thursday nights (5:30-8:00)- Friday nights (5:00-9:00)
