Childcare Provider- Baytown

• Part Time/Non-Exempt : 10-hours per week
• $15.00 per Hour

Description

The Bridge is pursuing a Childcare Provider that supervises children in an office environment while their parents attend individual counseling or support group sessions at the Baytown Office of The Bridge. The duties include monitor daily activities of assigned work space and keep Advocacy Manager abreast of any safety, health or client-related issues that may arise. Orient parent to babysitting guidelines, parent/child initial assessment, and information as requested from parent.

The Childcare Provider will develop, implement and monitor activities to increase physical, cognitive, emotional and social skills for children in assigned classroom. Document all services provided to child and parent on daily basis in compliance with grant collecting objectives. Assist children with activities of daily living (which includes serving/assisting with feeding/snacks, changing soiled clothing, etc.).

Moreover, the Child care Provider will ensure that assigned space is clean, organized, and well maintained and is a safe environment. Ability to effectively communicate with diverse populations. Demonstrated ability to handle crisis situations and implement a plan of action with little to no supervision.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• A high school diploma or GED is required.

Preferred Skills & Qualifications

• Child Development Associate (CDA) highly desired, or 1-2 years’ experience with children. Bilingual- Spanish highly desired.

Other Requirements

• Must pass criminal background investigation check
• Must pass drug screen
• Must provide and maintain current TX Driver’s License
• Must provide and maintain clean driving record and annually update driving record
• Must provide and maintain current auto liability insurance
• Must be authorized to work in the U.S
• Must be able to lift/carry (40) lbs, and ascend/descend stairs in emergency shelter setting.
