Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Provide individual and group children and parenting services including safety planning, emotional support and counseling, developmental screening, and domestic violence education for residential clients. Provide developmental screenings for young children. Plan ongoing activities and events to keep residential children engaged. Conduct groups.
· Maintain compliance with all agency policies and procedures, attend agency meetings
· Complete forms/reports required by direct supervisor, funders, CEO or the Board
· Respect, consider and uphold confidentiality of clients as top priority at all times, maintain confidential client files with accurate and timely documentation
· Attend agency meetings, Client Advocate meetings and weekly Supervision with supervisor
· Facilitate children's groups and assume responsibility for the oversight and upkeep of children's play and support areas
· Provide emotional support to parents and children including emotional regulation, healthy communication and coping skills
· Make client referrals and network with appropriate agencies
· Collaborate with Client Advocates on caseloads to meet the needs of shelter clients
· Engage in content related outreach to increase public awareness and education related to the issues of domestic violence
· Provide case management/children's intakes to all residential clients and non-residential children as needed

4. Plan and execute children's groups
· Co-facilitate the RESPECT education group and program in middle schools, including participation of outreach events for the curriculum
· Receive training for hotline coverage; cover shifts as needed and required for on-call duties. Participate in on-call rotation as assigned. Familiarize yourself with the flow of the hotline office and assist as a team player
· Carry out other duties as assigned or as necessary to ensure organizational success
Must be flexible within the hours of 8:00am-7:00pm for maintaining coverage for all children's groups
Education and/or Work Experience Requirements:
Minimum of two years' experience in social services. Experience working with children and advocacy work. Experience working with victims of domestic violence, crisis intervention and group facilitation.
· Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including ability to effectively communicate with clients, staff and community partners
· Excellent organizational and leadership skills
· Computer proficiency (MS Office - Word, Excel and Outlook)
· Must be able to work under pressure and meet deadlines while maintaining a positive attitude and providing exemplary service
· Ability to work independently and to carry out assignments to completion within parameters of instructions given, prescribed routines and standard accepted practices
· High School Diploma or GED required, BSW preferred
Physical Requirements:
· Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions and maintain regular, punctual attendance consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards
· Must be able to listen and speak clearly on the telephone
