ENERCON’s Energy, Renewables & Environmental Services (ERES) Group provides engineering design support to industrial facilities, traditional power generation facilities (natural gas, steam, and hydro turbines), as well as alternative, renewable, and sustainable power generation facilities (waste-to-energy, solar, wind, and hydrogen). ERES focuses on green energy solutions that achieve large-scale production with minimal environmental impacts.

Due to continued growth, our ERES group is seeking a Project Civil Site Engineer in our Tampa, FL, office location.

Responsibilities (including but not limited to)

• Provides project consulting, site planning, design, and engineering services to industrial and utility clients that requires subject matter knowledge and a wide breadth/depth of experience to move projects from concept to completion.
• Responsible for planning/zoning, complete site design in AutoCAD/Civil 3D, and permitting support.
• Project work and responsibilities will include all aspects of site development design such as grading, drainage, stormwater management, water and sewer, erosion and sediment control, permit support, and technical writing.
• Support preparation and/or review of engineering deliverables such as design studies, project scopes, engineering estimates, calculations, specifications, bid evaluations, and technical reviews.
• Provide technical guidance and oversee technical work performed by others to maintain quality standards. Review and check products prepared by other engineers or subcontractors.
• Manage budget, scope, schedule, and quality associated with the designated projects with minimal guidance and technical oversight.
• Mentor and coach junior-level employees, and support group growth plans.
• Work with a multidiscipline team, interfacing with other staff engineers as well as clients.
• Other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications/skills

• Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering plus a minimum of 5 years of design experience.
• Ability to prepare grading and calculate cut and fill, to design stormwater management plans and size ponds, to prepare stormwater report accounting for drainage areas, surface types, rainfall events and to prepare erosion and sediment control plan(s), properly size sediment traps and BMPs.
• Ability to prepare NPDES permit applications.
• Current PE License, or EIT with ability to obtain PE within 1 year.
• Working knowledge of MS Office Suite
• Strong and effective oral and written communication skills
• Ability to travel up to 15% of the time to client sites; duration of travel length may vary depending on project and client needs, ranging from a couple of days, a week to several weeks at a time.

Ability to pass a pre-employment and random drug and alcohol screenings, ENERCON and client-specific background checks, and annual motor vehicle record (MVR) according to company and client policies.
