Client Relations Consultant (Pharma) | On-Site
Job description
Position Summary
We’re looking for a seasoned account manager/client relations professional to work on-site at a major pharma client in NJ. The successful candidate will be a proven networker who has the skills and experience of building relationships across a complex pharma or science-related organization.
You’ll work closely with our Account Director to be the face of the client’s company heritage program — everything from giving tours of historic sites to seeding and embedding archival and storytelling services throughout the organization. The role is independent and somewhat flexible but also requires significant time on-site in Northern NJ, and other nearby locations, as well as some travel.
This is a great role for someone looking to transition out of a marketing or creative agency, or sales and into something long-term.

- Spend daily time on-site at client locations in the Rahway, NJ, and West Point, PA areas.
- Success at the end of the first year would mean a significant roster of contacts at every level of the organization and the successful execution of multiple planned and opportunistic new projects across the company.
- Present client history in-person and virtually including on-site tours and history talks to elicit strong audience engagement.
- Facilitate systemic, ongoing archival collecting and perform individual collecting, including some light packing, shipping, and logistics coordination.
- Collaborate with archivists and historians to install and manage on-site displays and exhibits.
- Attend Town Halls, monitor the client’s internal news to understand the client’s strategic direction, and relay findings/learnings to the Heritage Werks team
- Participate in bi-weekly client meetings, attend internal meetings, and provide ongoing reporting regarding outreach activities.
Requirements
- 5+ years of account leadership or business development experience in a pharma or science-related field working within a corporate organization or serving major corporate clients.
- Proven experience building a robust network in a new environment through in-person and virtual channels.
- Available to get to and work on-site at multiple client locations throughout the NJ/PA region daily.
- Able to manage physical archival materials including moving archival boxes and artifacts.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and demonstrated success in effectively communicating at all levels of an organization including comfort with public speaking and with the C-Suite.
- Must demonstrate the highest level of integrity and professionalism to work with sensitive information and materials.
