This position is full-time (40 hours/week) Monday - Friday. Employees are required to have flexibility to work any of our 8-hour shift schedules during our normal business hours of 7:00am - 6:00pm CST. It may be necessary, given the business need, to work occasional overtime.

This is high volume, customer service environment. You'll need to be efficient, productive, and thorough in dealing with our members and providers over the phone. Strong computer and software navigation skills are critical. You should also be strongly member-focused and adaptable to changes

Required Qualifications:
- High School Diploma / GED (or higher)
- Ability to type 45 WPM
- Experience with Microsoft Excel (creating spreadsheets and formulas), Microsoft Word (creating documents) and Microsoft Outlook (drafting emails, calendar management)
- Ability to work full-time (40 hours/week) Monday - Friday. Employees are required to have flexibility to work any of our 8-hour shift schedules during our normal business hours of 7:00am - 6:00pm CST.
Preferred Qualifications:
- 2+ years of customer service experience
- 1+ years of experience with working in a call center
- 2+ years of experience with working within the health care Industry and with health care insurance
- Knowledge of ICD – 9 and CPT codes
- Clerical OR administrative support background
- 2+ years of experience with working in a hospital, physician's office, OR medical clinic setting
- Reside within Central OR Eastern Time Zone
Telecommuting Requirements:
- Required to have a dedicated work area established that is separated from other living areas and provides information privacy
- Ability to keep all company sensitive documents secure (if applicable)
- Must live in a location that can receive a UnitedHealth Group approved high-speed internet connection or leverage an existing high-speed internet service
Soft Skills:
- Ability to talk / type while on a call
