In this role will educate clinical patient trainers and patients on the use of our respiratory health products in the home setting. This is where your expertise helps people. You will be responsible for completing patient focused clinical calls identified during an in-home training, those that are required for the Outcomes Monitoring Program, and as identified during other interactions with patients and caregivers. In addition, you will participate in a rotation of on-call for after hours support to trainers and patients with complex respiratory health equipment needs.

Your team

Reporting to the Clinical Support Supervisor, you will be a part of a team of 13 Clinical Support Specialists.

What you'll be doing

  • Train new clinical patient trainers on respiratory health products and the in-home training expectations.

  • Provide patient focused, clinical follow-up calls required for the Outcomes Monitoring Program.

  • Act as a clinical resource for contract trainers, which includes carrying the clinical resource phone after hours and on weekends as well as supporting patients with respiratory equipment including afterhours phone support for ventilation patients.

  • Partners with field sales staff to resolve patient related issues and educate the patient/caregiver on the benefits of therapy to help them understand the therapy, promote therapy adherence and device retention.

  • Works collaboratively with multiple teams to optimize patient outcomes.

  • Communicate patient information to field team, when pertinent.

  • Evaluate contract trainers and perform initial Competency Evaluations.

  • Accurately document events and communications in a timely manner.

What you'll bring

  • Registered Respiratory Therapist or Registered Nurse with active licensure in state of residence.

  • AA required, BA/BS degree preferred, or equivalent related work experience.

  • 3+ years of clinical pulmonary experience in a hospital, healthcare, or homecare setting required.

  • Previous experience providing training and/or education for patient, caregivers and healthcare team members.

  • Strong critical thinking, problem solving skills and Outstanding written, verbal and interpersonal and presentation skills.

  • bilingualism preferred.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, third Party payer experience preferred and TIMS experience preferred.

We understand compensation is an important factor as you consider the next step in your career. At Baxter, we are committed to equitable pay for all our employees, and we strive to be more transparent with our pay practices. To that end, this position has a base salary range of $41,500 to $120,000. The above range represents the expected base salary range for this position. The actual salary may vary based upon several factors including, but not limited to, relevant skills/experience, time in the role, business line, and geographic/office location.
