My client is currently looking to hire an experienced Cloud Architect to join their development team. They are a growing global IT multinational at the forefront of innovation and transformation. You’ll develop and execute solution design for business-oriented cloud transformation requirements across industry sectors. You’ll focus on advising, supporting, and coaching CXOs to shape their thinking for implementing cloud transformation and driving change to operate in the Cloud way of working.

The Role

Accelerate cloud adoption pace in the targeted industry sectors (New logos, Strategic accounts). Primary responsibility of shaping the cloud transformation solution thinking involving business transformation through multi cloud transformation approach. Work closely with hyperscale cloud players and cloud unit to identify proactive solution offering development opportunities on a continuous basis

Strategically shape the integrated cloud solution roadmap and the transformation approach for large deals by directing the architects, Centre of Excellence teams with the key objective to acquire those opportunities. Developing and maintaining the overall cloud technology vision and market engagement approach which is aligned with growth and transformation strategy. Leading the creation of a general-purpose cloud service offerings which can serve as a base for a range of specific cloud go to market initiatives. Supporting the commercial and financial strategy aspects of cloud-based technology services, including a move to ‘as-a-services’ operating model. Creating a commercial, technical, and operational framework to support the migration of existing managed service operations to the cloud

Work with your team around cloud strategy, target operating model and architecture. Proactively support client conversations to identify where our services can help address the business challenges they are facing. Support the relationship with hyperscaler alliances, shaping joint solutions to address our clients’ challenges. Lead the client engagements helping to shape an agile and outcome-oriented journey to cloud, engaging with key stakeholders and cloud ecosystem partners.

Proactively support organizational initiatives to build assets in relation to Cloud strategy, migration, cost management, centre of excellence constructs or architecture, combining your expertise with industry leading cloud transformation practices. Strategies and collaborate with the hyper scalers (eg: Microsoft, Google, AWS) to proactively engage with CxO’ and position solutions to establish strategic partnerships.

Navigate technology trends and help enterprise customers develop vendor neutral blueprints for systematic cloud adoption. Comfortable working across cross functional teams and liaising with key stakeholders using influence to negotiate outcomes in line with strategy

Demonstrate technology excellence wrt know-how and ability to position latest offerings from Cloud providers. Deal shaping by constantly being the knowledge bridge between client and cloud architects and help shape the deal in a right way. Ideate and contribute to development of new industry centric / domain centric offerings. Design business focused cloud transformation operating models / reference architectures for cross sector clients that simplifies their target operating model in cloud ways of working. Be the voice of the company for select cloud service offerings in the external forums. This role will not have much responsibility for team management It is critical for this role to have a continuous focus on guiding teams from cloud solution shaping particularly technology, migration and architecture perspectives

Key Skills/Knowledge:

Exposure to multiple industry sectors with specific preferences for Banking, Financial Services and Retail sectors. Working experience in multiple cloud technologies and must have deep understanding of native features / services at least for one of the public cloud platforms. Prior working experience as solution architect

Ability to engage clients with real time scenarios, case studies, and business proposals with clear specifications about cloud technologies and the business value driven prospects. Experience in shaping and supporting the enrolment of cloud-based target operating model to manage cloud effectively across the organisation. Background in Technology Architecture, Infrastructure or Operations roles. Experience in Cloud technologies including IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS should be Cloud architect

Deep understanding of Cloud Native and fundamentals of any of the public cloud platform. Understanding of cloud architecture. Understanding of cloud operational best practice and toolsets. Experience in application migration to public cloud using Refactoring and Re-architecting approach. Experience automation and provisioning of cloud environments (IaC). Cloud DevOps. Broad understanding and knowledge across multiple technical domains including Front-end Architecture, Services Architecture, Integration/Middleware Architecture, Security Architecture, Data Architecture.
