Currently, ManTech is seeking a motivated, career and customer-oriented Computer System Architect to join our team in the Hanover, Maryland location.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Drive the platform and infrastructure architecture of an existing system from an on-premises deployment to a microservice, event-driven cloud architecture deployed to classified cloud.

• Member of the leadership team for a 50-person team. Lead the development and implementation of the technical strategy to modernize the architecture of an internal cloud operational system.

• Design solutions for new capabilities and recommend improvements to existing capabilities.

• Chair the Architecture Review Board consisting of subject matter experts, developers, and systems administrators.

• Research and recommend new technologies to enhance system performance.

• Analyze user requirements to derive software design and performance requirements.

• Analyze system flow, data usage and work processes, and investigate problem areas.

Basic Qualifications:

• 15 years of software engineering required (with a bachelor’s degree) or, in lieu of a degree, 19 years of programming experience. A Master’s degree may be substituted for 2 years of experience.

• Knowledge of cloud technologies including microservices and containerization

• Experience with structured analysis and design methodologies is required.

• Knowledge of both relational and noSQL databases

• Knowledge of agile software development methodology

Preferred Qualifications:

• Demonstrated experience producing and presenting technology roadmaps

• Demonstrated experience in complex deployed systems

• Collaborative work style and excellent communication skills

• Atlassian Tools (Confluence, Jira, Bamboo, Crucible)

• Understanding of Event Driven Architectures

• CNO Development experience preferred

• Demonstrated knowledge of Java, Python, Kubernetes, virtualization technologies (e.g. vmware, qemu), and Kafka.

Security Clearance Requirements:

• Active and current TS/SCI with Polygraph is Required

Physical Requirements:

• Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time

• Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a calculator, copy machine and computer printer.

• The person in this position frequently communicates with co-workers, management and customers, which may involve delivering presentations
