My client a multinational consulting firm, is looking for a Cloud Engineer to join their expanding team. They’re looking for someone with exposure to Cloud Engineering and with experience designing for business and developer-focused products. You’ll formulate and deliver strategies focused on shaping customers’ digital transformations and work on the enterprise-class technologies with a particular focus on Finops Cloud engineering. You’ll work with likeminded professionals and gain experience at a tech, product-driven company. You’ll innovative solutions that will shape the future of the business and grow professionally with the help of your team members

The Role

As a Cloud Engineer (Finops), you will ensure costs are optimised in their public clouds – AWS and Azure. This includes optimisation of the way resources are utilised along with liaising with business partner or the business on servers that are used sub-optimally. Operate cloud cost monitoring and optimisation, including integration with applications where required. Define, implement, and evolve the metrics, reports and dashboards required to track, analyse, and optimise public cloud spend across the business.

Collaborate with the business units to ensure effective use of Cloud services. Develop reusable Cloud FinOps technical solutions and services which can be implemented across the business. Collaborate on and document Cloud FinOps best practices – around the technical optimisation of public cloud services to reduce cost, optimal strategies for the utilisation of cost-optimisation instruments and other. Provide information on Cloud recharge back to the central finance. Support Cloud FinOps tooling evaluations, POC, and implementation.
Experience

Extensive Cloud experience. Good Finops experience. Bachelor’s Degree (Computer Science, or similar) or relevant hands-on experience. Experience with a variety of Amazon Services/Azure: EC2, IAM, DynamoDB, RDS, Elasticache, S3, and EKS. AWS or Azure Certification.
