Job Title: Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) - Long Term Care (LTC) Petoskey, MI
Job Summary:
We are seeking a compassionate and passionate individual to join our healthcare team as a Certified Nursing Assistant. The CNA will provide basic patient care, assist with daily living activities, and perform routine procedures under the supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN) within a long-term care facility located in Petoskey, MI.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Providing quality care to patients in a safe and respectful manner
- Assisting patients with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, and grooming
- Monitoring vital signs and reporting any changes to the RN
- Recording patient’s medical history, symptoms, and any changes in medical conditions
- Administering medications as prescribed by the physician
- Assisting patients with mobility and transferring from bed to chair or vice versa
- Assisting nursing staff with maintaining a clean and safe environment for patients
- Providing emotional support to patients and families
Qualifications and Skills:
- Current Michigan State Nursing Assistant certification
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic healthcare environment
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Must possess empathy, patience, and a caring attitude
- Ability to follow instructions and work collaboratively with other members of the healthcare team
- Understanding of medical terminology and basic medical procedures
