JOB TITLE: CNA (Certified Nurses Assistant)
FLSA STATUS: Non-Exempt
WORK SCHEDULE: Full-Time (40 hours a week) Monday – Friday 7:30-4:00
WORK LOCATION: Paducah, KY
POSITION SUMMARY
Easterseals West Kentucky, Inc. is searching for a full-time CNA for our Adult Day Health Care program. The CNA will be responsible for working with adults with complex medical needs.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
The CNA will perform all or some of the following:
- Providing support for clients with daily activities and personal hygiene, including, but not limited to bathing, dressing, using the toilet, walking, standing and exercising.
- Ensuring clients receive appropriate diet by reviewing dietary restrictions, food allergies and preferences.
- Recording vital signs, including blood pressure, pulse, temperature and respiration rate as requested by staff.
- Noting observations of patient behavior, including complaints, or physical symptoms to nurses.
- Participating and scheduling client outings and activities.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS, EDUCATION AND KEY COMPETENICES:
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent
- CNA license required
- Previous experience required
- Ability to multi-task and manage a variety of projects and goals
- Highly organized and detail oriented
- Must be a citizen of the United States and possess a valid driver’s license
- Able to pass a pre-employment background check and drug screen
